Obituary of Wayne C. Robinson
Wayne C. Robinson, known as “Shorty” to friends and relatives, born July 25, 1947, beloved son of Harry Sr. and Viola (nee Huber) Robinson, passed away on August 6, 2024. Wayne had a distinguished career with the Board of Elections before retiring, following which he served his community with dedication. As a proud Marine Corps veteran, Wayne's commitment to service extended well beyond his military tenure. He was an active member of the Lions Club and generously volunteered with Meals on Wheels, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to helping others. In retirement, Wayne enjoyed a part-time role as an Erie County Bingo inspector, a position he cherished. A devoted Yankees fan and passionate about his role as a family historian, Wayne's love for family was evident in all he did. He had a profound affection for every dog he ever owned, and his generosity extended to numerous charities, reflecting his kind and giving nature. Wayne’s legacy is one of service, community, and deep affection for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Wayne is the dear brother of Arthur, Dona Reid, late Harry, Richard, Emeline, Arnold and Thomas; Also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation in the Cichon-Borgosz Funeral Home Inc. 4929 Broadway, Depew Thursday 3-7 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Assumption Church 1 St. Mary’s Hill, Lancaster Friday at 10AM. Please Assemble at Church.
