To the Kean family; Dick was a gentleman and one of the finest police officers I had the pleasure of working with. In Cold Spring with Don Dunford and in Filmore with Jim Chiro, he was the standard all officers looked up to. Firm but reasonable on the street, he always carried a smile and humor into any situation.He will be missed at the annual PBA Open House, where he would hold court with stories of past police experiences. I will keep both Dick and the family in my prayers.
